I am so pleased with DesertOrchid and War Admiral, that I repeated the breeding in hopes of another doe... got another buck instead, lol -- so I'm keeping him!
Artax is named for Atreyu's Horse in the movie The Neverending Story, and for a racehorse named for the same character -- Artax was awarded the 1999 Eclipse Award as a champion sprinter as a result of his wins (which equaled or broke three track records) at the Breeders' Cup Sprint, Carter Handicap, Forest Hills Handicap, and Vosburgh Stakes.
