Arianrhod means "Silver Wheel", she is the Welsh Goddess of the Moon :) In Celtic mythology, Arianrhod (Ari-an-rod) was one of the 5 goddesses that originate for the Isle of Avalon (Blodeuwedd, Cerridwen, Branwen and Rhiannon being the other 4). Our Aria is a small girl, standing at 19.5" at the withers. She was bred a tad too early (size-wise - she was right at a year old) for her first freshening due to John's desperate (and successful) effort to break through a cattle panel - sigh - resulting in a single BIG polled and wattled buckling, whom she kidded easily. She may be small, but she packs a punch, earning her milk star as a first freshener at only 2 weeks fresh on ADGA One Day Milk Test. Very impressed with her FF udder, and looking forward to watching this doe mature. Twin bucks for her second freshening in 2015. I'd like a doe Aria!
